The Writing Center at SBCC is recognized as an Example of ¡Excelencia! finalist. Founded in 2004, ¡Excelencia! in Education is a national organization that accelerates Latino student success in higher education
to address the U.S. economy’s need for civic leadership and a highly educated workforce.
Our goal: To empower students to become more confident, self-directed, and informed writers
so they can achieve greater academic, professional, and personal success.
We offer: One-on-one in-person & online tutoring, asynchronous workshops, orientations, and
a variety of helpful support materials.
The Writing Center will begin tutoring for the Spring 2025 semester on Monday, Feb.
3 at 10 am.
