Meet Local Designer and Artist DJ Javier
Thursday, November 6th, 2025, 12:45-2:00 p.m., A 160 (Admin Building)
Hear what inspires local Santa Barbara graphic designer and street artist, DJ Javier. 
                                       The event will begin with an Artist Talk with DJ to learn all about his journey and
                                       the work he is passionate about.  Followed by a print-making workshop in H 112 (Humanities
                                       Building), from 2:30-3:30 pm, to print an original image of Dj Javier's on a t-shirt
                                       or tote-bag!  Hope to see you there!

2nd Annual Raíces Art Exhibition

What does Belonging look like to you?  That's the question we are inviting SBCC student
                                       artists to explore for the 2nd Annual Student Art Exhibition—hosted by Raices: First
                                       Year and Beyond—Camaraderie: Weaving a Tapestry of Belonging.  In a time where division can feel overwhelming, let's come together to reflect
                                       on what unity, support, and togetherness means to each of us.  Interest form to participate as a featured artist provided below.  Art Exhibition coming early February 2026!
Our vision and mission are rooted in three key values; Cultura (Culture), Conocimiento (Knowledge), and Comunidad (Community). Through developing curriculum and educational activities that affirms and honors student voices, lived experiences, and cultural histories, we aim to co-create a space where students don't just succeed—but thrive as scholars and advocates for themselves and their communities.
Regardless where in their academic journey a student may be, Raíces offers the following support and services to students:
